Wife has been thrifting again.

I had thought that most of the content was animated cartoons or kids' fare, but there was a surprising number of 70s sci-fi movie discs. It is neat how this nearly 100-year-old technology still does 3D so incredibly well.

How could you mimic that effect in the browser? A quick animated gif strobing between the left and right images? Would that work?

@matthew Wow, the nostalgia of seeing those discs hits hard.

@matthew i'm trying to remember if the tv show Wonderfalls built a viewmaster clone because Mattel didn't give them permission to use one with their trademark visible, or because they couldn't find any viewmasters in good condition. (or maybe it's a real viewmaster reel viewer.)

@matthew

if you show the stereo images as left,right,left next to each other, then people can choose to cross their eyes to get the combined view (which is what I do), or look beyond the screen to combine two of the images.
