@meganmariehart statistically, in most games no pawns are getting promoted anyway. and pawns don't even mandatory get promoted to queens. all you need to know is that in chess, kings don't identify as queens, neither queens identify as kings.
@meganmariehart go read the rules of chess and the terminology, if you want to have a debate that involves chess. calling a chess piece promotion "transition" given the context and the agenda of your original toot, is no better than calling a transgender person a "mutant".
