@ascentale This is a bit specific, but how can I make fenders for my Cargo Quad? In front all I could attach to are the "arm" handlebars and the rear I suppose I could attach it to the wooden cargo payload. @bikenite#BikeNitePQ#CargoQuad#BikeNite
@meganL front fenders off of a (fat) tadpole trike and rear ones off of a delta. Find a friend with a fatbike who needs single front and rear, you'll be all set! Might need some custom brackets depending on what you have to attach to, rubber-covered P straps or some clamps around the tube if there are no mounting tabs.
@enobacon Yeah, it's really how to attach them that's the issue. I figure there are fat tire fenders out there, but I don't have the standard places to attach to. #BikeNite
@meganL would need pictures around the hub / mounting area to come up with more specifics, plus depends on what you have to work with as supports on the found fenders, vs would be easier to build custom supports off of your handlebar pieces rather than replicate the fender's trikes' bracket setup. There may also be something on the tube connection that could be removed and put back with a base bracket as a spacer under it.
@meganL@ascentale@bikenite#BikeNite if you have access to a 3-d printer or (better) a friend with time to fart around with design has access to a 3-d printer, you might be able to make custom brackets that would fit that tubing and use them for (the beginning of) a support. I made a bracket for a defloppilator years ago from PLA, it gets harsh use, and it is fine.
