In #brezhoneg, to examine is "arnodiñ" . However, in #cymraeg, it's "arholi" (ar + holi : super + to ask). Therefore, the root in brezhoneg would be now "war + ...".
Does anyone know why these differences ? Is it linked to old mutation, apparently, the mutation "b->p" existed in old brezhoneg, but I do not know yet about it.
I will keep looking at it, and if anyone has references or documents about how the deviations between old brezhoneg and old cymraeg have been formed, I am interested.
