I just stumbled about this video on federated alternatives to Reddit.
With so many smaller instances being spun up, it's likely that many of them will shut down in the future when unexpected costs show up. Wouldn't it make sense to be able to import and export your account data to smoothly transition over to another instance? Sorry if this is something already planned for in the pipeline.

FediAct makes a bunch of redirections to Mastodon so that you can easily interact with people outside of your instance. Does Lemmy have a similar solution? I've been struggling hard to follow communities from federated instances, and would love to be able to do it in one click.
Fediverse is going mainstream fast. And it is going to be a corporate hellhole if the grassroots initiatives that drove it to its current success are losing their grip on evolution in proper direction: Humane tech that is to the benefit of the people andd society, free culture thriving....
Sorry, gotta divulge that this was an April Fools. It is the opposite.. we want to get more cohesion and collab in The Grassroots Fediverse as a counterbalance to mainstreaming and corporate takeover forces.
