Here's a thought, maybe it's not just the economy that people feel badly about. Maybe it's a lot more. The pandemic took a lot out of us all and it's only natural we would have a post pandemic grieving period. What was lost? Many families lost loved ones to disease and divisions about masks, etc. Some family members and groups doubled down on beliefs in science and non science, creating more pain and division. Some lost their health, some lost their businesses, some lost social trust. So much more even. I feel it, surely others must also feel a loss. Maybe that's also coloring points of view on economy and other issues. It hasn't been addressed.

@aliceonboard the pandemic is very much ongoing -- the expiration of government emergency declarations is not the same as the pandemic being over in an epidemiological sense
