That is a lot of words, seems like the main points are:
Restoration of criminal liability for minor health harm and battery, with potential fines or up to two years’ imprisonment.
Reclassification of beating as a criminal offense, punishable by up to 50 days in jail.
Tougher stance on torture, with acts of extreme cruelty now punishable by up to seven years’ imprisonment.
Enhanced measures against domestic violence, including isolation orders and a specialized police unit.
Life imprisonment for severe crimes against minors, such as murder, rape, or sexual assault.
Introduction of criminal liability for sexual harassment of individuals under 16.
Increased sentences for child abduction and illegal deprivation of minors’ liberty.
No reconciliation exemption for crimes against minors, aiming to protect victims from returning to abusive situations.
New regulations to combat minor suicides, bullying, and cyber-bullying, with parental accountability for young perpetrators.
Establishment of support systems, including a call center for family issues and Family Support Centers, with mandatory psychological assistance for offenders.
Overall seems like it is adding a lot of great things; hopefully without any loopholes
According to the new law; the direct or indirect unfair discrimination against anyone on the grounds of age, albinism, culture, disability, ethnic or social origin, gender, HIV status, language, nationality, migrant, refugee status, asylum seekers, occupation, trade, political affiliation, conviction, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, sex characteristics or skin color is a criminal offense punishable by a fine or up to eight years in prison.
Let's be honest, i hesitated for a long time to publish this one because even if the bill is a good news, the fact that it took so long and that not all states did the same can clearly downlift it. What do you think ?
The “gun show loophole” was an intentional compromise to prevent a defacto registry. The fact theyre going after it is just another data point for pro gun activists
It doesnt actually change anything, all dealers already required an FFL and thus needed a background check on every gun sold.
