Repotted it into a 5gal bucket because large pots are pricyyyy. This tree is about 5 years old and has made hundreds of props that inhabit friend’s houses around town....

Rhypsalis burchellii. Can somebody help me with this little guy? It’s loosing more and more branches. I put it in a warm living room, no change. I out it in a cooler room, nothing. I’m watering it about once a week and the soil dries in between.

Don’t be afraid of the little reagent kits, they’re easy to use and accurate and cheap! Think of them like little science kits. :)

I have been a bad plant parent and left my poor ficus in a hot sunny car for a few hours during a move. I’ve now gotten it to a place where it gets the right amount of sun (I think) and watered it, but it still isn’t doing well. First one, now two leaves are drooping, and the top of the stem is shriveled. What can I do to...

It seems to grow fine, then it gets leggy and the bottom leaves fall off. I cut the tops and plant them and then the cycle repeats....

Self watering pots have a lot of downsides, but I find myself with several decorative plastic ones that I want to find a use for. What sort of plants thrive in these pots? What have you had luck with?

I’ve been keeping plants for about 5 years and have not bought any meters to track and test light, moisture, temp, ph, and all that. Are these a necessity? I am starting to think that I need these tools to ever get some of my pants to thrive in my dark home which gets pretty cold in the winter. What do y’all think?

Some big dumby with my name (T’was me) posted earlier this week with a totally not correct way to propagate ficus elastica (rubber tree, tineke) from a leaf. So anyway here is the proper way to prop it with pictures....
