My potted myer lemon tree started flowering a few weeks after I brought it indoors for the winter. Is it OK to let it flower? Should I try pollinating the flowers to get more lemons?

I am trying to plant palm trees from date pits. I’ve already done it. It’s a very long process that takes about a year to show a recognisable palm. The date pit has to be first immerged in water for at least 15 days and up to 3 weeks. Then in wet cotton for the same time. Finally, we can plant it. The palm should be water...
Usually the fall is mild but we’ve already gotten a few nights of frost. Brought in my outside plants in a hurry but now I need to do some prep for the lower light and colder conditions....
Is there some secret to this? Either I’m trying to cautiously untangle the plant without breaking any leaves so I can water it in the sink or I’m leaking water all of the floor.
