RizzRustbolt,

Somebody needs to explain to these folks the definition of “superseded”.

iamanurd,

Do notary publics control the police in addition to ruling the sea?

https://midwest.social/pictrs/image/f982e79b-7dc8-4da7-97fc-f9c8b2e5f299.jpeg

meco03211,

If he brought his documents to a notary public I’m sure they wouldn’t offer any resistance to the “jurisdiction” and still sign it. Does the sovcit think this nullifies the documents? Does he think “shit, now I gotta take to the sea”? Will the evil gubment come knocking? So many questions.

BonesOfTheMoon,

I wish I had answers.

DrBob,

I am a notary public. I had no idea I wielded such power!

It’s just a work thing where there always needs to be one around to notarize documents in an emergency so we have lots of them. I also get to administer oaths when people join the service.

BonesOfTheMoon,

You could have a side business hustling crazy sovcits.

DrBob,

Yeah but I’d have to talk to them. I’m not sure it’s worth the $20 or whatever.

TachyonTele,

I think you mean $200 ;)

DrBob,

I’ve never charged. Lol. I became a notary because of work and 90% of my stamps are for my employer. I do the odd immigration or mortgage work for my colleagues for free/beers.

DaddleDew,

I’m starting to believe that most of these posts are just people trolling in hopes that someone dumb enough will think that it is legit and do something that will get them arrested.

SkyezOpen,

The ones running it are scammers that charge people for books and magical forms and fake license plates and ids and the like. The rest are just suckers.

TexasDrunk,

I grew up in Northeast Texas. I don’t know this dude but knowing a lot of people there I can confidently say there are definitely people there who believe it. It’s the same people who think you can’t be arrested if you commit the same crime twice due to a bad reading of “double jeopardy”.

It’s fascinating to try to understand their logic. What the hell is the land and sea to these persons? Unless you’re living on a boat, you’re living on the land. I don’t think Sovcits buy boats and live on the oceans surrounding the States, so why do they parrot “maritime law” when they try to live on the land while not being subject to our laws or tax payments? Does maritime law allow me to live as a parasite in the U.S. with my ~$2 million account or whatever it is they believe they have?

It’s just so confusing how manipulated and deranged these conspiracists are.

Keep posting these, and thanks for infiltrating their space to bring us a glimpse of their mindset.

FlyingSquid,

That’s not the best part. The best part is that ‘maritime law’ is mostly about things like insurance issues. They’re talking about the law of the sea and they don’t even know it. They’re wrong about that as well, but…

This is just good stuff. Those persons are just a mix of grifter, scammers, actual believers, and unfortunately the pitiable vulnerable ones that got suckered in and fully believe it.

I will say that I’m a person of the land, and maritime laws don’t apply to me personally. The maritime law I always break is Poseidon’s Kiss. I take exceptional measures to never let that happen to me ever again.

Hadriscus,

It’s just magic spells

…wordpress.com/…/how-not-to-translate-notary-into…

Interestingly, notario público means an attorney in Spanish, which is different from what we recognize as a public notary in the United States. I wonder if this is the tiny grain of truth they got this theory from.

Do sovereign citizens also refuse gifts because “gift” in German means poison?

i_dont_want_to,

gift = poison

But then my naturopath says that what big pharma says is poison is actually good, healing medicine.

So poison = good

Therefore gifts = good.

Diplomjodler3,

That’s some first rate logic there. You should write a book. All the sovcits would lap it up.

i_dont_want_to,

Sweet. My book will be travelling to a bookstore near you.

Cash only, the government made it so I can’t accept payments from our secret bank accounts. Sorry folks.

Diplomjodler3,

Cool. I’ll pay with some paper full of unintelligible legal mumbo jumbo.

FlyingSquid,
@FlyingSquid@lemmy.world avatar

““GIFT”” means POISON because, by accepting a ““GIFT”” you are POISONING the “”““STATE””!!!>!!!

FlyingSquid,
@FlyingSquid@lemmy.world avatar

This suggests that there are grains of truth to the insane things they think up and that gives them too much credit.

Of course, that’s if you believe the STATE-RUN Wikipedia.

BonesOfTheMoon,

Amazingly there’s no such thing as a public notary save for in the mind of sovcits.

Nougat,

The reversing of adjective-noun order in phrases like “notary public” and “attorney general” are holdovers from Middle English, after the Norman conquest. French was the language of authority and nobility then, and French word order is noun-adjective.

Lojcs,

Til attorney General doesn’t originate from military. Always thought it was a relic from the past when it did or something

Empricorn,

That’s only relevant if you didn’t apply for a Certificate of Exclusion From Mass Knowledge Database. So… you now owe me $3000.

bingbong,

Can I pay in coupons?

Ah, who am I kidding, of course I can!

The website doesn’t have gold fringe on it so I think that’s land jurisdiction, it should be ok
