Diplomjodler3,

If you drive a douchemobil, you shouldn’t be surprised when people think you’re douche.

Diplomjodler3,

And if that doesn’t work, you need to hire more project managers.

Diplomjodler3,

Someone earned themselves a spot on the elimination list.

Diplomjodler3,

Cue right wingers protesting the new “woke” leaf blowers.

Diplomjodler3,

There certainly are plenty of people who use those things because they enjoy being obnoxious twats.

Diplomjodler3,

Yeah, I figure that’s the kind of thing they’re going to say.

Diplomjodler3,

My reaction too. Next thing they’ll have a hand reach out from the monitor and slap you in the face every time you log on. And people will still put up with it.

Diplomjodler3,

Actually, those that don’t have a choice aren’t affected by the enshittification quite as much. This mainly affects the consumers using Windows Home. And those definitely could try something else.

US prisoners are being assigned dangerous jobs. But what happens if they are hurt or killed? (apnews.com)

Blas Sanchez was nearing the end of a 20-year stretch in an Arizona prison when he was leased out to work at Hickman’s Family Farms, which sells eggs that end up in the supply chains of huge companies like McDonald’s, Target and Albertsons. While assigned to a machine that churns chicken droppings into compost, his right leg...

Diplomjodler3,

It’s definitely going to be a lot slower. But the Chinese market doesn’t care much about things like that.

Diplomjodler3,

Well, you wouldn’t want to US car companies to have actual competition would you? Won’t anybody think of the poor shareholders?

Diplomjodler3,

They’re working very hard on doing away with elections so soon that won’t matter.

Diplomjodler3,

The cruelty is the point, as ever. And you gotta keep up those recidivism rates, otherwise, who’s going to fill all the private prisons?

The inside story of Elon Musk’s mass firings of Tesla Supercharger staff (www.reuters.com)

May 15 (Reuters) - The day before Elon Musk fired virtually all of Tesla’s electric-vehicle charging division last month, they had high hopes as charging chief Rebecca Tinucci went to meet with Musk about the network’s future, four former charging-network staffers told Reuters....

Diplomjodler3, (edited )

If I tried really hard to do everything ass backwards and behave like a total moron, I still wouldn’t reach Muskiboi’s level.

Diplomjodler3,

Damn! Why didn’t I think of that?

Diplomjodler3,

Congratulations to drugs for winning the “war on drugs”.

Diplomjodler3,

Incarceration absolutely does stick.

Diplomjodler3,

That was my point. They’re locking people up in order to create a criminal underclass that can be exploited and used to scare the rest of the population. High recidivism rates are part of the design.

Diplomjodler3,

I agree that this would be a better way to go about things. But the US “justice” system isn’t interested in mitigation.

Diplomjodler3,

So, are you trying to say we don’t have enough democracy, or that we should have something else? What without that something be?

Diplomjodler3,

That’s not what this says. It says the real problem is authoritarianism, not the economic system.
