My hot-take on , as it's a lively topic:

More decentralised projects is a good thing.

"Big" (relatively speaking) names behind it can be helpful in bringing decentralisation more into the mainstream.

It's existence, or potential success, doesn't harm Mastodon, fedi, or ActivityPub.

Let's embrace the momentum we're seeing of more forces drifting back to how the web was when it was a more open, more kind, place 😁

@natemtn It might well be, it might not be. But what's for sure is it's driving more a wider discussion about decentralisation, which is definitely good.

Upside is none of us have to like Bluesky. It can exist and do it's thing, fedi can do it's thing etc.. just like the web used to be in the 90s! 😁
