@bllgvn speaking of which, funny that you mentioned lumber. We had a small deck on the back of our summer home, the woods started to need replacement already. Deck boards were twice the cost of when I built it a few years back. To replace every board would be twice the cost of the original build. So I bought concrete patio stones and built a forever deck for half the cost of the wood and twice the size
@bllgvn it's a lot of work though, I lost 15 lb moving wheelbarrows of gravel to pack down and level the surface before the patio stones. On a normal deck this length only 12 ft by 6, the boards were worth more than a patio stone 24x24. So I can make the deck 12x12 now, twice the size and half the price of the wood. Add the cost of the gravel and it's just under the cost of the wood for the deck alone. But it's permanent now. Then you can do what you like for rails.
@AKingsDeathbyOwl it's hard to tell I recognize all the ones I see daily but not ones from some distant newspapers. I captured it online as a non-described picture and took it to do that
