mandikaye,

I feel like this is a dumb question, but what's the difference between and ? Aren't they both reddit alternatives?

unix_joe,

@mandikaye two different software packages written in different technologies that can understand each other.

But when the Reddit migration was happening, right wingers refused to get on Lemmy because it was developed by leftists. So they flocked to kbin which at the time was not federating with the test of the Fediverse due to Cloudfare DNS protection.

Now kbin is kind of alt-right and has a lot of anti-trans stuff going on. But federation with Lemmy has been fixed so they can see each other.

I know about 2 bad magazines, and I keep an eye on them to see if they actually get any replies/upvotes.

Is there any anti trans message there that is not downvoted to hell? if so, I'd like to act and get the admin's attention
