The Unknown lives behind there

Pinklink,

It’s a trick to keep you trapped. You are already in the mirror, you’ve been here for a long time. Run! Escape!!

Don’t let them fool us, there’s alternate reality behind that mirror.

Etterra,

Yeah but it’s an even worse timeline than the one we’re already saddled with.

rasakaf679,

Or it could be the timeline where Harambe survived

Mirrors are a conspiracy.

They think they can hide the shadow realm from us!!

jaybone,

Mirrors are the best reflection. Everybody says so.

0ops,

My dumb ass was staring at the picture for like 30 seconds asking myself “what mirror?”

taanegl,

You do and suddenly wake up the Mario N64 music.

Don't tell me what to do!

breaks nose walking into mirror

SpaceNoodle,

I see the quotation marks … so it’s not actually a mirror?

weirdbeardgame,

Nah m8, you ever play Mario 64?

SpaceNoodle,

“no”

Lucidlethargy,

I’m so sorry for your loss…

weirdbeardgame,
DragonTypeWyvern,

More like the American school system isn’t really “education”

And this is actually a better example than most

Fuck_u_spez_,

One of the few subs I miss is /r/SuspiciousQuotes. Anyone know of any Lemmy equivalent?

SpaceNoodle,

You can always start a channel

I know that sign is there because someone tried to do this, but I can’t imagine what had to happen for someone to walk face first into their own reflection lol

shneancy,

ngl sometimes i assume it’s another person coming at me and only realise that it’s a mirror when i’m on the imminent crash course with the other me

Rev3rze,

I thought the same thing. Though it looks like the mirror is at an angle in the corner so I could imagine approaching it from the left or right means you don’t see your reflection until you connect with it.

metaStatic,

I was just playing Football

Xanis,

I wonder, aside from other potential explanations, if our brain recognizes it’s us and momentarily ignores it. Delaying the recognition and connection just a little too long.

SonicDeathTaco,

I wonder if it mostly happens when people are looking down at their phones. There is a pole on my campus that I have seen multiple people walk into while texting. Then again, my cat has been trying to fight her doppelganger in the mirror for years now and she’s smarter than a few people I know.

whereBeWaldo,

I kinda doubt that since this is a store. I doubt you’d be on your phone while trying to pick some shoes. It probably happened due to the angle of the mirror, as its in a corner on certain angles you wouldn’t see your reflection until the last second. If you are a fast walker it may be impossible to stop your momentum until its too late.

jaybone,

Vampires be like

pastel_de_airfryer,

That actually happened with a former coworker of mine, the clumsiest person I’ve ever met. (Me being the second one)

One of the bathrooms at the hotel we were staying at had a mirror covering the entire wall. Of course the clumsy guy tried to walk into the mirror, bashing his face. It was hilarious!
