Want to build your own lock screen widget or quick setting in ? @arunmani explains how that works in https://phosh.mobi/posts/custom-plugins-dev/ 🛠️

@phosh @arunmani Nice! I want to try writing a plugin to quickly change screen scaling from quick settings. I currently have a set of "applications" that set 100% to 200% in 25% increments but a quick setting is cleaner.

@phosh @arunmani It looks like the guide is missing a step. You need to add your new plugin name to plugins/meson.build in order for it to be picked up as part of the build.

@phosh @arunmani Yay! This was pretty easy to modify from the example and test, though calling wlr-randr with system() probably isn't the best way to do scaling.

Next would be to make a drop down that lets you pick the scale from like 100, 125, 150, 175, 200.

@CalcProgrammer1 @phosh Awesome!

You might derive a page from PhoshStatusPage to show the extra options that come up when you long-press the quick setting.

May be guide for status page and preferences should be part of Part 2 post. :)

@arunmani @phosh A part 2 would be awesome! I will look into PhoshStatusPage. I've been wanting a quick toggle for scaling for a long time as it is useful when running more desktop focused applications. I might try making another quick setting for my TouchpadEmulator virtual mouse rather than relying on hardware buttons for it.

@phosh thank you! I was just thinking about writing a small plugin that disables and enables mobile Internet.

agx,

@Shatur @phosh @arunmani Maybe instead of quick settings use a PhoshStatusPage that appears on long click of the wwan quick setting (very similar to what wifi does for the wifi network selection) and add the mobile data toggle there. That could easily be merged upstream.
