I have this old Domino's Pizza CD and I can't find any information on it. It doesn't seem to exist on the internet.

The track listing on the back lists 13 tracks but the CD contains 14 tracks. I'd love to be able to label it properly before I rip it.

Photo of the Domino's Pizza Delivery Expert music CD back cover. It lists 13 of the 14 tracks on the CD.

A few months ago, I made a backup copy of all my CDs (well, the ones I could still read), including CD-Rs of random downloaded shareware. I listed some of it on my website.

This week someone asked me if I could share my copy of Alien Detector Pro, which had apparently vanished from the internets and is a childhood memory for them.

So, now, all of you can enjoy Alien Detector Pro and see if there are aliens in your area!

A 104-Year-Old Lost Silent Movie Has Been Found in a Basement https://www.404media.co/a-104-year-old-lost-silent-movie-sealed-hearts-has-been-found-in-a-basement/

Upon examination, it was confirmed that reels 1-4 of the missing silent 35 mm print entitled: Sealed Hearts, was in the cans. The original US distribution print had lasted 50 mins and been in 5 reels.

The very unknown and hard to find Japanese film "Kairei" starring Johnny Cash is available on the Internet Archive, but hardly anyone knows anything about it because there are no known commercial editions with Japanese subtitles. So I subtitled it myself with Whisper AI, and it did an incredible job. An interesting movie! Now I am trying to figure out what to do with it. Any ideas welcome.

A screenshot from the movie Kairei, with three Japanese men wearing English clothes from the 1800s speaking to an older white man, played by Johnny Cash. The subtitle reads "I wrote this."

@zoltandulac @Holger

You could also upload the srt file to the appropriate Internet Archive entry¹ or Opensubtitles².

Much less likely to be taken down by copyright claims than a hardcoded copy elsewhere.

There is a tutorial on how to save the Whisper transcription as an srt file.³

@ixi @Holger Thanks for this. I have it as an .srt already, but putting it on opensubtitles sounds like the way to go. Will probably take a few days to make the timing of the captions more accurate, but I think I will go that route. 🙂

We no longer live in the age of Lost Media. We live in the age of Active Erasure by corporations who have the means to preserve it but the financial impetus to destroy it.

Zach777,

@wagesj45 @textfiles @Setsune We need to make this idea into a movement.

@Zach777 write letters. knock on doors. we can pirate all we want, but the long term fix is going to have to come from legislators. and that starts with us being loud and annoying about it. my representatives get a letter from me at least once a month about something important.

Big deal for fans of : The two full episodes of Turn-On are available on YouTube.

This show, famously, was cancelled in the middle of its first episode because it was considered so offensive.

@ernie Ever see Laugh In? Today would be very offensive. It popularized “polack” jokes, mocking Polish people.

@ernie Watched this in a Cytube-style playlist-linked chatroom last night. For everyone present, Turn-On really lived up (down?) to the legend in all the important ways.

I am the owner of /s/LostMedia on squabbles.io and there is this dude who needs help identifying a song.

So on /s/LostMedia,@Jtres needed help finding this song.In his own words,he said "There was an EDM song that played all the time on the BPM station on Sirius XM in 2020-21. All I remember is that I'm pretty sure it was a female singer and it was about driving/going fast/speeding. I've tried googling it but never get anywhere. I'd be super surprised and thankful if anyone finds it!".If any of you know of a song similar to what @Jtres said along with similar details, please comment down the song name along with all of the details as it would be greatly appreciated. Also, here is the profile of @Jtres.You will see the post and can view it for yourself.

The Weekly Radio Address of President George W. Bush - parody

I downloaded these every week from The Onion long ago. They've been unavailable online for many years; even the Internet Archive was missing a lot of them. Which is a pity, because they're incredibly funny. Recently I assembled them into a single collection, filling in some of the gaps with supplements from the IA, and posted the whole collection. There are 40 files. As far as I know, this is the most complete archive available anywhere.
