In case anybody ever is in this situation, I’ve heard and seen on a couple videos that animals are afraid of things being thrown at them. Any time they see something moving that’s not supposed to move it’s because of a lot of strength. So throwing a handful of small rocks at it is generally enough to scare it away.
Eventually yes, but depending on what you use/where you hit, it could power through enough to fuck you up a good amount. Adrenaline does that sort of thing.
Predators love trying to kill you up until they realize you might cause some kind of mortal would to them in the process. Once they understand that they tend to go look for an easier meal.
Except for that lion that ate like 100 people in Africa. That dude was a bad ass.
