Netanyahu ministers join Israeli far-right 'march to Gaza,' demand Palestinians' expulsion

Thousands of Israelis joined a far-right Independence Day march on Tuesday in the south, led by Jewish activists advocating for resettling Gaza and forcing Palestinians to leave the enclave.

Two activists participating in the march crossed the border into Gaza and were arrested by Israeli forces near the Erez crossing.

The march was supported by lawmakers speaking at the event, including two cabinet members: Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi, who is a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party, and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir of Otzma Yehudit.

    They intentionally make it similar so that when you make the obvious comparison, they can say “that’s ridiculous, you’re being extreme” and put you on the defensive.

    for a quote from Israeli leftist protesters calling for peaceful emigration of Palestinians back into their holy land.

    Uh... What? He didn't mention a destination (because the word "emigration" implies leaving somewhere, not going somewhere. You're thinking of immigration(. You're trying to read it as calling for peace instead of the genocidal nonsense we've been seeing for the last seven months, but that's just not what's happening. He wants to ethnically cleanse Gaza so Israel can build beachfront condos there. Setting aside how the sentiment you're trying to read from this doesn't exist in Israel in any significant numbers, I'd expect Netanyahu to call for peace before MFing Ben-Gvir does it.
