NoneOfUrBusiness,

f Biden loses, it’s going to be because people thought he was a senile, ineffective, caretaker president with no agenda or vision whatsoever

Or a genocidal maniac, which is less untrue.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

Not having access to the richest market in the world.

The thing is: They haven't been exporting to that market anyway. It's less future profits, sure, but they won't be losing money (or even profits).

NoneOfUrBusiness,

None of these were done with the intention of turning the natives' land into beachfront property.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

I mean no, but the people with meteorology degrees are probably not gonna be working a job where the number one requirement is to be hot (and not, y'know, have a meteorology degree).

NoneOfUrBusiness,

The Biden voters will never change to vote Trump.

Setting aside a bunch of people in Dearborn, Michigan.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

Not that I doubt it, but what did the US do to Canada?

NoneOfUrBusiness,

Uh... No. They still use GHM numbers. The UN revised numbers are fully identified deaths, meaning people with a first and last name next to their entry in the GHM's database. This is opposed to non-fully identified deaths, where it's known that X number of people died (for example an Israeli bombed blew X people to smithereens and they're unidentifiable or there's nobody left to identify them because the whole family is dead). non-fully identified numbers are the same.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

Source? Where are you getting this info

The UN came out to correct the misunderstanding:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/may/13/gaza-ministry-revises-figures-for-women-and-children-killed

Also setting aside how GHM numbers are and have always been accurate according to literally everyone (Hamas has a lot to lose and nothing to gain from faking them), Fox News? Seriously? If you're gonna make claims find a source worth reading.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

Okay I looked it up and here's what reputable media (which the economic times is not) has to say on the topic:

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cljdjw2jrnzo

It's an abandoned UN warehouse. Hamas only came after the UN left following Israeli evacuation orders, which is very much not the implication in your link. There's nothing to investigate.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

Admittedly the UN does say it's likely one of their warehouses, but crucially it's abandoned. Hamas only came in after the UN left, which is very much not the implication Israel and Zionist media are trying to make.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

Trump would try, but he wouldn't actually do it. The saner people in government don't wanna start WWIII.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

So first Israel is a small county of 7 million people ubermensch and 7.5 million in apartheid divided into four castes. This is a ridiculously unsustainable system that needs external support to not collapse under its own weight. It's a very viable boycotting target. Meanwhile China is running a much more robust institution. Not moral, that's for sure, but a lot more able to support itself and therefore a lot harder to collapse or weaken externally. Not that I don't support boycotting immoral institutions even when it doesn't matter, I very much do, but let's not ignore the essential difference here.

Second, EVs are necessary for the climate. We need that stuff to be affordable so we don't all die in the climate wars 50 years from now, and the Western market refuses to fulfill that, so people are turning to China. China fucking sucks, very much true, but there's an argument to be made that climate change is the greater evil here.

Also let's not forget that three major sources of oil worldwide are America, Russia and the Gulf. So in order we have the largest funder of evil in the world (including, in the last ten years alone, two genocides, an Apartheid state and ISIS), another genocidal state and a modern slave society, including the country who committed one of the aforementioned genocides. I don't know how much evil per mile it turns out to be, but there's an argument to be made that buying a Chinese EV is better than buying a "morally" made traditional car and buying oil from countries like these for 20 years.

And of course there are tankies who just wanna simp for China.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

for a quote from Israeli leftist protesters calling for peaceful emigration of Palestinians back into their holy land.

Uh... What? He didn't mention a destination (because the word "emigration" implies leaving somewhere, not going somewhere. You're thinking of immigration(. You're trying to read it as calling for peace instead of the genocidal nonsense we've been seeing for the last seven months, but that's just not what's happening. He wants to ethnically cleanse Gaza so Israel can build beachfront condos there. Setting aside how the sentiment you're trying to read from this doesn't exist in Israel in any significant numbers, I'd expect Netanyahu to call for peace before MFing Ben-Gvir does it.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

IKFR? If America wants to lose India to China then go the fuck ahead.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

Nope, they actually appear and disappear. The idea is that even in vacuum there's a certain amount of background energy and that energy can randomly turn into matter-antimatter pairs in what is basically the inverse of matter-antimatter annihilation.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

So I wonder, even if it’s only appearing very briefly it’s still going to exert some small gravitational effect.

I don't think so. Remember: This is energy being converted to mass, not mass coming out of nowhere.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

It's that they're using a more normal people term. They probably wanted to say vacuum.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

No no that's a completely different phenomenon. This is the phenomenon involved in Hawking's radiation and similar.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

Correct me if I am wrong, but as I understand it mass and energy is equivalent no?

Yes.

And it also still baffles us as to why rest mass and resultant mass from energy should be equivalent at all?

I don't know about this one. I'm not an expert so don't quote he on it, but I don't remember hearing this before.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

It does, but that's the thing: It does either way. There should be no change due to the conversion of energy to mass.

Secret Hamas Files Show How It Spied on Everyday Palestinians (www.nytimes.com)

The Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has for years overseen a secret police force in Gaza that conducted surveillance on everyday Palestinians and built files on young people, journalists and those who questioned the government, according to intelligence officials and a trove of internal documents reviewed by The New York Times....

NoneOfUrBusiness,

Not when the IDF is taking their place.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

Where? The UN came out to say that they did not revise any numbers.

NoneOfUrBusiness, (edited )

These accusations have been taken apart by Amnesty International already.

Also in the criticism section I think this

Israeli citizens in Tel Aviv are not classified as shields when Hamas launches rockets towards the Israel Defense Forces military command headquarters located in the city center.

sums up the whole thing. Hamas military actions do put civilians in more danger, but they simply don't have the capability to do anything else (would Israel even allow Hamas to build above-ground military bases? exactly) and what they're doing doesn't quite measure up to the definition of human shields. Also your top source has zero credibility the moment it said Israel wants to minimize collateral damage.

NoneOfUrBusiness,

Israel uses US-provided precision munitions to strike only its intended targets

Do you believe that after the past 7 months? Seriously? Man Israel literally prefers to bomb Hamas soldiers in their homes (meaning with their families) rather than in Hamas bases. Does that sound like "only striking their intended targets" to you?
