Has anyone come across any information design research project/group/community which makes infographics of supply chains of the making/manufacturing behind really complex biomedical devices like MRI and drug manufacturing, testing equipments like spectrometers, chromatographs?

With the aim of documenting everything necessary in order to make , alternatives to them?

OSEGermany,

@impactology

We asked around and as it happens there is a new initiative from one of our Assoziation members in partnership with the founding design from you might want to check this out

Any resource which has infographics on supply chain of each part needed for manufacturing scientific instruments?

Think of everything that an org like ThermoFisher Scientific makes & has monoply on & creating an infographic of their entire supply for each part for each device

So this site which has extensive classification of each product category across a variety of industry sectors

Imagine if each product's supply chain was documented and made completely transparent and open for anyone

An interactive site which has a catalogue of product category from every industry, sector but which is organised according to it's need and usage for production and consumption in different areas, places and stages of life for individuals and groups

& Each product is reverse engineered and deconstructed, given an STS critique and proposes designs for making alternative open source appropriate tech and all that is stitched together as a syllabus.
