Omg pre session jitters. Stress sweats. Stomach cramps. Did I do my prep? All my settings correct? Windows adjusted my volume settings again. I hope nothings broken in foundry today. I stayed up late setting up. Is my dog going to bark at every leaf? We don't use video, why am I choosing earings?
How am I not over this by now. Years and years of being a GM and full time for almost two years.
@Imperor@GM_Ray I’ve come to realize that I always have the jitters before I have a session no matter how much I prep. I am not sure how to deal with it other than simply running the game yet. Though I am open to being surprised.
@Imperor@GM_Ray I have tried different levels of prep though not no prep entirely. I find once I get past the 10 min mark I am fine. It just like that immediate start where I feel nervous.
@Imperor@GM_Ray Yep. I have mentioned it and we have a great group. I think part of it is the worry with any art you’re sharing with someone else. Worrying it’s not good enough etc, and letting the perfect be the enemy of good.
I don't think your party would feel anything you come up with won't be good enough. I think having a party that comes together regularly is proof enough you're doing a good job.
