No, the school board’s reaction TO the strike is what did that to their reputation… Because, they’re corrupt AF and couldn’t help but show it eventually.
That doesn’t sound like a particularly feasible plan. I would hope that grad student would tend to be attracted to places with a program renowned for their chosen girls of study. I can’t imagine they’re making the assumption that all indigenous grad students want to study the same thing, so then what are they doing? Simply providing financial incentives for indigenous grad students? That sounds great, but I’m curious about the source of funding. If that’s not it… What?
Hate how it gives so little detail. Was the guy inside or outside? If inside, the other people in the bar should have some leads, right? If outside, how do they know it was a “bar shooting” and not a “street shooting” or similar? Maybe the guy got shot, then stumbled to the bar to seek help.
ok now i’m kinda intrigued … you mean people catfishing people as a replacement to market testing or a writers group ?
that is creepy and metamodern. i’m going to have to think about that as not only a thing writers do but as a way people can influence writers by knowing they do that and fucking with the writers.
i just know the one guy…
the example he gave was a roommate wanted for a tweaker house…
no sleep except wednesdays, mandatory sleep on wednesdays…
it was pretty funny.
only one person responded and he asked the guy if he wanted to collaborate on writing…
so not really catfishing but im sure people do that too…
Thanks for the view and insight. I remember growing up old folks complained about skateboards on sidewalks, then roller blades, etc. When they finally got it and cities and states started building facilities, suddenly no more problem. Agree with the narrator that giving space to do this could be good but I think part of it being cool/attractive to attendees is the illicitness, though that’s just conjecture. Probably the fact that it’s social and free is a big deal and helps attendees since the US has deliberately eliminated those spaces.
Not gonna fact check this, but you probably should. ChatGPT (3.5) says:
The quote “stop trying to be like everybody, you don’t even like everybody” is attributed to the street artist Banksy. It was originally painted on a wall in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the United States. Banksy is known for his thought-provoking and often politically charged street art, and this particular quote highlights the idea of staying true to oneself rather than conforming to societal expectations. Unfortunately, due to the temporary nature of street art and graffiti, many of Banksy’s works, including this one, have been subject to removal, damage, or deterioration over time.
