Looking for a new that increases your and does not spy on you?

The switch is fairly simple but would have huge results👇

What's your favorite feature in Vivaldi?

@Vivaldi for me the best feature is being able to set up bespoke Search. As a librarian it saves me lots of time every workday. In my personal time I use it too, such as a quick way to check Goodreads.

Bennytek,

@Vivaldi Originally came for the themes, but stayed for literally everything else 😌

@Vivaldi
Workspaces are great but honestly tab tiling is my number one feature. Though more fundamentally I'd say the encrypted cloud based sink is really awesome. Especially with all the bells and whistles syncing. Though none of the bells and whistles are forced upon the user. Absolutely love that!

mttaggart,

@Vivaldi For me it's a tossup between tab stacks and the built-in reading list. Both are now so crucial to my workflow, I'm not sure what I'd do without them.

robbinthepeople,

@Vivaldi I totally underestimated the combination of workspaces. It helps me being a tab collector and keep the structure and productivity. I was blown away when I realized this can be drilled even deeper by grouping tabs within the workspaces. Combined with personalization (tabs on the right, panels on the left, page in the middle) it's such a great multi tool!

Astrofan,

@Vivaldi I use Vivaldi since the company published Version 1.0 and I'm proud of it.

mactosix,

@Vivaldi tab stacks and workspaces are great but, the Window panel completes them! It is so useful to find where a tab is that I added a key combination shortcut to open it (ctrl+shift+w on Windows work laptop and Alt+shift+w on my KDE personal devices).

WineandVines,

@Vivaldi
The side bar is amazing for when I’m studying. I love being able to look up words from my favorite dictionary without having to switch to a different tab. 🥳

@Vivaldi Workspaces is definitely my favorite feature. At work I wanted a way to separate projects more easily and used tab groups for a while, but they became insanely big and hard to follow. Workspaces solved that issue.

The only "issue" I still have is that I can't find a way to have pinned tabs that are shared across workspaces so I have to pin them separately and login to each of them individually, but that's only a minor inconveniece and the pros definitely outweigh the cons. 👍

@taxet There's no way to show a single tab in multiple Workspaces. You can vote for that feature here: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/85026/option-to-pin-across-workspaces

@Vivaldi For me, it's first and foremost the things that were, erm, "inspired by" classic Opera: mouse gestures (I can no longer use browsers without rocker gestures!), sidebar with webpages, image information with Exif decoder, keyboard navigation and single-key shortcuts, built-in mail client. Other than that, pinned tabs (at a time when no other major browser had them), tab stacks and tab tiling proved tremendously useful.

@Vivaldi Vivaldi, could you make a second edition where all the features like email, rss, calenda, etc are not there, it's a good browser, I just don't like the other stuff in the side panel.

@orbitalmartian
Mail, Calendar and Feeds can be disabled from Settings > General > Productivity Features.
In addition, you can hide and move buttons around by customizing the browser's toolbars. Learn how to do it here: https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/appearance-customization/edit-toolbars/#Customize_toolbars.

@Vivaldi Maybe you already answered this, but what will you do in case WEI is coming as a "standard"? https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2023/07/googles-web-integrity-api-sounds-like-drm-for-the-web/

@Vivaldi
Not my favorite vivaldi feature but surely a deeply appreciated feature is the builtin rss reader.
