Okay Fediverse, as funding is not happening at the levels necessary to sustain me working full-time on the Fediverse (whether that's on trust & safety or on Mastodon), I'm now looking for part-time or contract positions.
Most recently I worked for Sir Tim Berners-Lee's company Inrupt.

Darcy.is is my (now dormant) project to merge Solid with ActivityPub and to eventually have a proper moderation & safety module. Is there something you can and would like to work on for those 500 euros? (All code is open on https://github.com/Darcy-Social )
@jollyorc mmm, the most "in the vision of solid" thing I'm wanting to contribute to Mastodon is a .well-known/oauth-server-metadata endpoint (equivalent to the .well-known/openid-configuration)
But there's also the ActivityPod project, which may be closer to your vision perhaps & more inline with what your funders wanted to fund?
Oh, I remember darcy. I'm just making a lite version of solid, but it should be fully upgradable to Big Solid via extensions. This cut down version can be implemented in a weekend and do useful things.
@zanzi@melvincarvalho@jollyorc it's seeing the light of day, but it's not particularly easy to build anything with it, and Inrupt were determined to under invest in their SDKs, they wanted to focus on their "backends for frontends" for their enterprise customers.
@thisismissem This was visible when visiting your GDoc resume :) Looks like you are popular, when Google sends this kind of message around. Hope, you'll find a way for funding!
@grobmeier ah, ha, well, that's neat I guess? but it may just be all the link preview fetching across the fediverse.. because that's currently hugely inefficient.
@grobmeier I'm actually oddly not.. I keep a bit of a low profile, but.. um.. I know a lot of the famous tech folks (sometimes even a bit too well!)
I tend to know the movers and shakers, and they tend to know me to some degree, but anyone outside of that doesn't tend to know who I am or what I've done; it's a bit odd really, but I kinda like it.
@luca it's more I've been trying to work fulltime on the fediverse, but now I'm broke and unsure how I'm gonna pay my rent, bills and food for the next month.
€700 cannot keep me working on the fediverse full-time so I have to find either contracting work or part-time to survive.
