Looking for less toxic alternatives to StackOverflow

No answers, but a lot of downvoting and toxicity around pROPer QueSTioNS. I got reminded why I haven't gone to that site for a very long time.

(Also if you have some better tutorials for the win32 API than what MS has, then I would appreciate that. No, I don't need a bloated library, that does things, but poorly, and has similar documentation issues with functions everyone assumes are called between the two main ones.)

rastilin,

Depending on how specific your questions are, I'd get a ChatGPT subscription. It can give example code as well as explaining concepts, even for specific libraries, and you can ask follow up questions if you need more details. I gave it a few Win32 questions and it seems to have some knowledge.

binaryphile,

Don't have experience with this but saw it recently -- it's open source, but not activitypub: https://codidact.com/

https://kbin.social/m/snippets needs you!

The idea is a federated repo of code snippets, and we need more people to help drive it!

marty,

Maybe a lemmyoverflow?
