Might well be killing my mastodon account for good in the near future with (formerly ) blowing them out of the water. Will always keep my account because of diaspora, but with a few more changes Firefish will make Friendica obsolete.

Things Firefish needs to do to make Friendica obsolete

Change image size(maybe even adjustable)
sort bookmarks into categories
allow for background image (Never mind there is a wallpaper option)
Create media only feeds (available on the Milktea app for Firefish)
Create an archive option
Improve Calendar
Create a global directory
Connect to diaspora

Other than possibly improving security (unsure of the security comparisons) Firefish will make Friendica a relic as its already doing to mastodon.

@lori However I've been told that Calckey uses way less resources for what it gives than mastodon.

@lori Still in love with Friendica but its slow moving in change, don't accept donations only time and PHP is notoriously hard to read. Firefish is typescript one of the easiest languages to read and javascript is the most known language on the planet. they can change things nearly on the fly compared to Friendica, but because of that the security on Firefish might not be as good. Friendica has the potential to be the absolute best of all of them but its a slow struggle.

    anubis2814,

@lori Been poking around Calckey and its going to be just as modifiable as myspace was in the near future if they keep going the way they are. Something that people have been missing since Rupert Murdock bought it and destroyed it decades before Musk did that with Twitter.
