@grote what do you mean by signing key handover? AAB is different to Play App Signing.

@rockgecko_dev This article isn't for the new Android TV rules though. So far using app bundles has always required handing over signing key to Google although it doesn't need to be this way.

Hmm doesn't that mean any TV app not currently AAB would have its signing key changed to one by google? How does that work for the existing installs?

@rockgecko_dev The article is actually 6 months old. So this is in effect now, so somebody with an Android TV should be able to find out.

@grote wow and ouch! so really no more developer signed apps on android TV?! surely it will it regular android then. so by requiring AAB they'll get at those apps that still haven't handed over the signing keys, right. like Briar :(
