@ai6yr Mostly rhetorical questions from engineer brain: Why does a test message contain information that might be subject to a panicky human interpretating it? I understand code paths and testing issues around changing the message, but it does already say test message. Couldn't they use dummy text of equal length if this is going to get broadcast?

what if is really was an alert and they forgot to remove TEST from a previous test? People aren't that attentive, especially during a potential emergency..
