Venus is much too hot and high pressure to live on the surface, but the atmosphere is so thick that oxygen is a lifting gas. You could have a floating habitat kinda like cloud city. Wouldn't even need a pressure suit outside the bubble, just oxygen and protection from the sulfuric acid. Practically balmy! 😂
@ZombieGopher In 6th grade we did projects on a planet our teacher assigned us. They asked us to pick a number between 1 and 10. I said 6 and got Saturn.

I once wrote about the Hogwarts game (don't have it, never played it) and decided to use a password on it because people were going mental. While that was my whole point in my blog... People going mental over something, judging people over a game. 😔
@PlaystationPixy Oh I didn't know you could do that. Maybe I should do that. I changed a few things in the post then I may republish, but I wish people wouldn't take it personally. It's a video game.
We shouldn't be lecturing and harassing people who choose to play it.

I don't mind what kind of games people play. I do kind how they act and behave towards others. Playing game x or y doesn't make someone bad. Acting offensive or discriminating, those are things to make someone bad, IMHO.
I want to play the game because HP was a big part of my childhood and to make my own character and go to Hogwarts is the closest thing I'll get to making a dream come true. But I won't allow anyone to condemn me for it.
@Monsterlady yeah I'm very much the same. The HP books and movies got me through some difficult times for sure, before JKR started being such a big terf.
I support trans people, I want them to be happy and free.
But still a part of me wants to try the game... 😔
@PlaystationPixy It isn't easy for some people. One way I look at it is that Rowling may have created this world, but what made it thrive was the fandom. 😉
I hear the game actually does have a few LGBTQ characters, one of them trans as the devs strongly disagree and condemn Rowling's statements. If you choose to play to fulfill a childhood dream, it doesn't make you a transphobe, in my opinion. But it's your call.
@Monsterlady yeah I said I did want to play it. But I'd never buy it new. I'm waiting for the game to drop at pre-owned stores for a decent price and I'll pick one copy up from there. That way, Rowling doesn't get more money from the game.
She said people giving her money are people supporting her views.
I definitely have nothing but love for the trans community and I'd never want to hurt them.
But part of me just really wants to try the game some day.
@PlaystationPixy Fair. I'm waiting for it to go on sale on Steam, and so far whenever it does, the deal hasn't been good enough for me to buy yet. I'm not in any rush to play anyway as my backlog is big enough as it is! 🤣
I have some friends who are trans, some I even went to school with. Also I heard from someone on here who said they have a trans sister who loves the game, so I don't believe all of them will be hurt if we play. Maybe in a year this will die down and you won't have to worry.

There's no rush, I haven't tried playing games via hard copy on my PC since it was built, so I'll just wait, even if it's not for a few years. I already know some things that are next for me to play like Stray. 😉
