? This seems to be my month for catching up with follow-up epilogues, and A Rose By Any Name by K.J. Charles was much more to my taste than they usually are. A sad loose end is happily tied, and we can see that everyone still loves everyone else without being drenched in goo.

I see I have a few other codas by her unread, so I guess I'm set for May.

@willaful The primary tension comes from the slow, on-page decline of a parent to dementia & stroke. Xe Sands' narration is amazing, and brutal.

@rick Weird, I replied to you and it somehow just repeated your post as if I wrote it. Did you see that? Am I having a stroke? (I just deleted it.)

@willaful Yeah, that's kind of my fault for putting so much text outside the CW. Sorry about that!

@rick Seems an odd way for reply to behave though! Oh, I see it how it happened. I did wonder how you got your CW in just a section. 😁 Very creative!

@willaful Finished it. 5⭐️/5.

Definitely an emotional story, though. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone looking for something light and fluffy, or overly melodramatic. There are no big, sweeping overtures here, just people dealing with life, one day at a time.

Anyone wanting to feel something, yeah, this has it covered.

I will absolutely have a book hangover after this one.
