A historian notices that obscure old photos they have been scanning from original magazine and photo collections show signs of being AI generated (the kind of uncanny errors that give such images away, but these are chemical photos from long before computers)
At first it's just a few images in the oldest collection, but each day it seems to spread.
No one believes her of course.

Would Plato like it if everyone just looked at the same moon when they took a photo of the moon? Not the moon that is there, but the photographic icon we have agreed that the moon must be?
@promovicz@futurebird That's also pretty much the premise of VirtuaVerse, except that in Nathan's case not getting chipped is a very intentional choice.
