TheSunnyOne,

Preface:

My family do love me. I live with them rent free. They've never physically hurt me, and never intentionally psychologically hurt me.

For the better part of a week, and still going, I have felt truly awful...physically and mentally.

It took 2 days for the family I live with to realise this, and even since then they have not actually checked on me.

My mum got ill as well, turns out she has Covid again (which might also be why I'm where I am right now).

Many repeated announcements of this fact in the family chat, regularly getting check ups, brought food, drink, etc.

My parents just seem to forget about my disability, or ignore it, or think it'll go away eventually.

I think...a short term sickness they can compute, and deal with...but long term, chronic, like mine, it's now just background noise to them.

They complain to me about aches & pains, forgetting that that is my every day experience.

Exhausted.
