@ivory Feature request/bug report: On macOS I use the arrow keys to navigate through toots, and there are a lot of ways you can "lose your position” that are frustrating.
Notably, if I “up" to a toot, then click “o" to view an image, then “esc” to close it, I lose my position, and pressing “up” doesn't continue from the toot with the image, it starts back at the bottom of the list, shifting the timeline, and I have to move back to where I was.
@ivory Related to this, it would be great if pressing “o" again after viewing an image on macOS would close the image and take you back to the toot, like "esc" does. Currently it just makes an error sound, so why not make it useful?
Both "o" and "esc" should take you back to the toot where you opened the image from by default though, right? Unless I've done some navigating in the background.
Overall I'd just love a lot more permanence of the "selected" toot for keyboard purposes.
@jerclarke Noted on the keyboard shortcut. But the selected post is staying persistent over here when I open an image and then close it. Try restarting Ivory and seeing if it gets fixed?
@jerclarke Interesting. Running 1.6.2? M1 Mac? Probably something @todd will have to look at when he comes back from vacation. It's definitely working properly over here so something isn't right based on your video.
