Given how I went through a battle in a queer group that wanted an acronym like "2SLGBTQI" and when we complained about the lack of the A received lots of whining about "labels" being "excessive" I've earned whatever alleged oversensitivity that I have towards this. Cause it's never not been deliberate in my experience

@RiverEnodian sometimes I wonder if humanity would be better server to split the difference and have LGBQA+ and TI+, as technically LGBAQ+ is about sexual orientation and TI+ is about sex development
There’s a reason that people in the past had migrated away from the term transsexual - neophobes freak out about sex. Look at what is happening to the term transgender now - it is so commonplace for people to think that TI+ is about sex, when it isn’t necessarily so
@KashifShah The T has nothing to do with sex development, tho. Trans just means you don't identify as the gender you were presumed at birth. And the + includes a whole bunch of labels that include other sexual orientations, etc
@RiverEnodian meh, technically, the fact that one “identifies” with the non-cisgender is actually a “divergence” of sex development, localized mostly to the neuroendocrine system, instead of to the genitalia, like in other intersex conditions
latest research is pretty close to identifying enough of the genetic and brain differences to actually diagnose it by genetic testing or high-resolution brain scans
there is a lot more complexity and nuance to the science of T than many give it credit for
@KashifShah No, no it's not. It has nothing to do with my genitals or any sort of divergence, or anything hormonal at all. There's nothing medical going on with me to make me trans.

@KashifShah There are no biological factors and there's a reason why transmedicalism is transphobic. Many, actually. It goes nowhere good and everywhere bad. I do not require a biological reason to be trans. Nor do I require one for my sexuality either.
