0xabad1dea,

I wonder which email address has legitimately sent the most emails ever. it’s gonna be a noreply@ somewhere I imagine

caleb,

@0xabad1dea from my inbox, it’s gotta be notifications-noreply@linkedin..com, though ebay@ebay.com is also up there.

atax1a,

@0xabad1dea we would say its the null envelope sender, MAIL FROM: <>

0xF21D,

@0xabad1dea publicly or internal to a company IT department? If non-public counts I have stories. :)

@0xabad1dea hmm. maybe the address used for notifications wrap-up emails for FB or Twitter?

kahomono,

@0xabad1dea "legitimately" is the key. I have it on good authority, the noreply@ addresses are spoofed.

mikemol,

@0xabad1dea I question whether an email address that does not itself receive messages qualifies as having sent a thing. That feels more like a "sent on behalf of this address" kind of thing to me.

so rather than "no reply", I'll nominate support@. Either Microsoft, Comcast or Verizon's. At least, in the US. Outside the US, I suspect something Chinese.

  • mikemacleod,

@SecurityWriter @0xabad1dea that’s probably correct but also kinda cheating. If we exclude mail never delivered to a real mailbox, I still think one of MSFT’s addresses has a good chance of coming out on top. But so does one of Google’s associated with Gmail.
