@arstechnica I want to say we really don't need this yet. So called "AI" really isn't there yet and has a long way to go. (I really have high hopes for the idea of neural computing in particular.)

Unfortunately, companies really really don't care. They're throwing everything they have into LLMs and calling them AI even though they're not. Even considering nuclear reactors to power it all. So anything that makes that more efficient until they realize it isn't AI is good I guess.
