In honour of my return from #tek23, I gathered up my collection of elephpants to share with you. I am looking to trade some of the doubles so let me know. 1/X

dseguy,
@dseguy@phpc.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer www.elephpant.com, for every PHPamily!

dseguy,
@dseguy@phpc.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer Snif... ha... they grow up so fast!
That is a nice family you have here :)

doppynl,
@doppynl@phpc.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer which ones are actually available for trade? I would be interested in the big Wooly Mammoth, Blue Zend and Zend X-Ray. But you may not want to part with those. I got plenty of doubles available, they are all listed on https://elephpant.me/herd/doppynl. Happy to talk here.

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

@doppynl Sorry, none of those are available in trade. I am interested in trading the 2 extra red Zend, 1 white ConFoo, and 1 phparch

doppynl,
@doppynl@phpc.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer totally understand. I could use a second red zend for other trades, but shipping from/to Canada would make it less interesting. Also other people probably are interested in that one as well.
if you ever change your mind about the large mammoth though, it is by far my favourite elephpant. Totally understand you want to keep that though.

nauleyco,
@nauleyco@phpc.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer Here is my herd. If there is anything we can trade, I would appreciate it😊

derickr,
@derickr@phpc.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer There is a whole website to facilitate this: https://elephpant.me

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

@derickr I know but would prefer to deal with folks on here

tvbeek,
@tvbeek@phpc.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer what are the shipping costs to the Netherlands and do you have a price (range) in mind?

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

@tvbeek I am guessing CAD$20-25 which I am happy to cover

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

A ConFoo elephpant (gotten through trades as I was banned from the event for several years) and a red Zend one. I have two of the red Zend ones, looking to trade. 4/x

josh,
@josh@joshbutts.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer Banned from ConFoo?

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

@josh The organizers did not have a sense of humour about social media jokes made about mass rejections. Rejected my submissions and was told to not submit talks in the future.

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

A SiteGround elephpant and the original prototype for the wooly mammoth elephpant 5/x

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

Heroku and PHP Roundtable elephpants 6/x

grmpyprogrammer,

@grmpyprogrammer blue one is Shopware I think

heiglandreas,
@heiglandreas@phpc.social avatar

@ian @grmpyprogrammer It is indeed!

bcremer,
@bcremer@phpc.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer The blue one is named Cody Blou from Shopware.

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

Finally a purple one that I am not sure of the origin and the LGBTQ+ Rainbow elephpant.

A very unique set of collectibles from my years speaking at events. 15/15

ramsey,
@ramsey@phpc.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer This purple one should be the PHP Women branded elephpant. The ear is covering up the “women” word that should be oriented vertically, like in this version of the logo:

ramsey,
@ramsey@phpc.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer Does the pink one have the PHP Women logo on the other side? I have purple ones that do, but I’m not sure they made the pink ones.

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

@ramsey It does not have a logo but I was making an assumption.

ramsey,
@ramsey@phpc.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer My memory is failing me on this, but some of the folks from might have worked with @dseguy to create the original pink back in 2006 or 07. Depending on where this pink one came from, it could be part of that run, or it could be the later one produced by OpenGoodies.

dseguy,
@dseguy@phpc.social avatar

@ramsey @grmpyprogrammer There were two generations of pink, one with nexen, one with opengoodies. They have distinct fur, so if the bum tag is not there anymore, you can send me a picture and I'll tell you.
PHP women was a separate generation, made later. No or little relationship between the two.
I remember that the pink was a request for babies, along with traditional colors. It probably started like this.

TimB0nd,

@grmpyprogrammer Interested in SiteGround
https://elephpant.me/herd/TimB0nd isn't quite up to date--I have more than what's listed

ramsey,
@ramsey@phpc.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer I think @matthewtrask was building an trading site at one point, but I just came across this one, bu some other folks: https://elephpant.me

grmpyprogrammer,
@grmpyprogrammer@phpc.social avatar

@ramsey @matthewtrask I would prefer dealing with folks on here directly — my trust level is higher here

brunty,
@brunty@brunty.social avatar

@grmpyprogrammer Open to discuss here (or discord) if there's any duplicates I have that you want :) https://elephpant.me/herd/Brunty
