@bluecat Yes, I can certainly realte to that feeling. In my case I decided to change from blue to red, as nobody seemed to want to address the actual issues, and I felt I had more impact "making it hurt" than trying to argue for budget for staff.
It does go away, but only if you change your perspective, at least in my experience.
As far as is it your life now, I think there's a reason most of us have hands on hobbies that have nothing to do with IT.
@bluecat I feel that and I'm not even in cyber security. I think that might just be because it's something I'm interested in but have no idea where to start and don't believe I'd have the smarts for it anyway. 🤷
@bluecat Yep. It’s super common. Sometimes stepping back and looking at the big picture helps. (Are we better than we were six months ago? Do I think we’ll be better six months from now?) Sometimes it means that I need to shift my focus in my current role, my role, or orgs.
