ashleyspencer, Since I see no one in person, and have lost any ability to mask because of it, my Midwestern accent is coming out.
For a little while I developed the twang of my state when I was around people all the time and the Midwestern accent went away. It’s like I was even masking with my accent to fit in with locals.
As a kid, I had a thick midwestern accent. Lived back up north for 5 years as an adult. My accent was not socially acceptable here in the south so I learned to hide it.
