Is there an equivalent to electron that uses gecko instead of chromium?

@kboyd Don't think so. But there's Neutralino, which uses the system WebView, and is thus much lighter...

@kboyd I'm not sure what engine it uses, but how about https://tauri.app/?

@Crell @kboyd Tauri is based on Web Views, so it's essentially webkit/blink, but see here for more details https://tauri.app/v1/references/webview-versions
I had researched this a couple of years ago, and I hadn't found anything viable.

@AbeEstrada @kboyd one thing i liked about the neutralino docs is they suggested spawning a backend server of choice and i am trying to figure out why i spent so much time dicking with electron when i could have just php -S'd and used my normal browser.

@kboyd Isn’t that what XUL was supposed to be?
