Maybe I should tell people some BS reason why I am learning Korean instead of the actual reason. That way people will only give me a cringe look instead of a "what the hell is wrong with you" look. :sadness: 🙈️
@dogfox I was gonna use the BS reason of "because of all the Kpop groups and Kdrama" 😅️
But the reality is that a lot of North Korean (related) texts aren't translated to English. But the moment I say that, people think I stan Kim Yo-Jong or Kim Jung-Un or smth.
@dogfox I am currently trying to plow myself through some law texts on financial crime 😅️ but the English translation is just plain horrible (not to mention the dialect differences between North and South also don't make it a lot easier...)
