@sean_ae btw you tried a tuned cubic resampler + ring mod on some sines before? been on these sort of crimes lately. now i wanna add a tuned phase vocoder to it too..
@miunau that sounds nicely smooth.
i did a ring mod (with phase distortion) module and yeah, it's quite nice on simple tones. it can grab its pitch from any channel so it can do like [2 melodies at once] type things
@sean_ae cool! did a little PD synth a while ago too. it's fun to mess around with. here I was trying to come up with cheap ways to generate some weird tuned harmonics and the resampling at the exact note pitch seems to do fun stuff thanks to nyquist.. the ring mod after after scrunches all the harmonics up nicely too, kinda like applying a high q filter. it makes these peaks just around the central note (here with 5 octaves).
adding some bpf noise at that frequency gives a super phat buzzy synth sound. thinking adding a phase voc will give some extra nice bubbliness..
