@humitos yes, it's truly amazing compared to all other countries - do you know anything about why? is it a specific strategy that's working well in the educational system?
@humitos ah yes, they are from a survey by Jetbrains where I think you would only expect a smaller segment to be participating. So maybe it's not reliable? I mean, unless you say it's an impression that you also have?
@benjaoming I've been outside Argentina for 10 years now, so things may have changed.
When I used to live there, women were pretty underrepresented in all the STEAM ecosystem I was involved at least. I don't have any data other than my own experience, tho
@humitos that's okay -- I think even 10 years ago this difference should exist, since the 30-39 year old segment is supposed to be 13% women, that's a very significant difference to other countries and would make Argentina have the largest share of women in software development in that generation. It can't be true unless someone from Argentina has witnessed it :)
@grapefrukt oy wow, surprising to see C, but maybe it's because of an older generation (with more equality)?
Also... look at Go... I was always thinking that the mood was rather "masculine", this proves it.. although we're talking about a generally awful gender equality for all languages.
