Peak #Blind tech educator moment: I’m using Be My Ai to read the webcomic from Data, Responsibly about AI bias. What’s interesting is that straight ChatGPT refuses to describe copyrighted PDF documents so i’m literally sitting here using Be My AI to take pictures of my laptop screen as i move through the PDF page by page. Time is a circle: i was also taking pictures to get access one page at a time in the 90s with the Kurzweil Reading Edge
@ChanceyFleet Out of academic curiosity... what does ChatGPT say? Is it DRMed, or just marked as copyrighted?
It'd be possible to bypass the DRM and ignore the no-copy bit, if Be My AI wanted to read PDFs via its own LLM, or just bypass OpenAI's. Doubt Adobe would give that to OpenAI, though, for obvious reasons.
