What would you change in your life if you had guaranteed basic income for yourself and your family? What would you do if there was no requirement to work for money to provide basic needs?
@lgatto I would start a farm. Working with animals, working the earth, getting off of the treadmill - I would really like that.
If not that, I would reduce customer work and increase my investment into open source software. And maybe there would be even time (and motivation) to start playing around again. Trying (for me) new things, doing something just for the fun of it. That was lost over the years, when all days are consumed hustling and bustling.
@lgatto I think I’d reduce my work hours (probably do more open source sciencific software & hobbies), but worry about what UBI would do at social level and how long the upheaval would take to settle down…
