@lanodan "maybe next one will still be a thinkpad", why not try a Framework model?

@JauneBaguette Frameworks is a bit interesting but when I actually think about it:

  • Not that much more repairable, although schematics are nice to have
  • Still slim, so probably flimsy
  • Barely any ports, it's pretty much a tablet with inserts for adapters. As one that remembers laptops with bunch of ports + PCMCIA it's really weird.
  • Bit more focused on open-source
  • More expansive (I payed something like ~800€ for my T495)

At the Framework budget I'd probably go for an MNT Reform instead but that one is a bit hard to bet on given ARM and possibly no spare parts if they shut-down (at least it seems very hackable/repairable).
