@cstross@kegill It is almost certainly deeply embarrassing regardless of whether there's actual impropriety, and as such it's an excellent example of smash mouth lawyering. But the specific impropriety alleged, that a prosecutor gave her boyfriend a cushy gig for which he was significantly underqualified, seems on its face extremely plausible. State and local prosecutors do this kind of blatantly corrupt shit all the goddamn time and are rarely held to account.
