I was completely expecting to not like today’s #1001albums pick, #LeonardCohen’s Songs From A Room, but it’s totally hitting the spot! I think I prejudged because “Hallelujah” is so overdone and has kept me from checking out any Cohen, but that was totally silly. This album has a really great feel, especially when listened to in the dark when everyone else is still sleeping.
@buffyleigh If you like this one, you will also like this debut album, which I find even better.
However, I am a huge fan of his late work, Old Ideas, Popular Problems and You Want It Darker are really great, and very different compared to his early work.
