@markgurman Your articles are written as if they're actively avoiding the platform, but based on the quotes I'm reading, they just don't have apps ready for launch. Am I wrong?
@tomwinzig All iPad apps run on the Vision Pro by default. For you to not run on the Vision Pro, you have to intentionally and actively tell Apple you are not going to run on the Vision Pro.
@markgurman I still don't find it unusual that a company would want to prevent a potentially sub-par experience (iPad app auto-migration to vision) out of the gate so that they can control their customer experience on visionOS on their own terms?
I wonder if they have investments or agreements with the other visors and helmets coming out of the woodwork now.
And I don’t believe it is about any ‘commission’ as much as wanting to control, and take metrics on their viewers habits. Up to you pundits to figure out the possible negotiations behind this.
Clients/ customers don’t want to be spied on either. Beyond ‘what have I watched?’
